"CASA FAMIGLIA ROSETTA
Association "Casa Famiglia Rosetta" was born in Caltanissetta, Italy in 1983 as an organization of volontary service for handicapped people, founded by Don Vincent Sorce.
The Association was named after Rosetta, young mother who at 36 died of multiple sclerosis, and had been the first client of the Association.
The Association's began working with the handicap, and has gradually, when confronted with the problem of the socially marginalized, involved itself with problems of drug, alcohol, AIDS, the elderly, neglected and abandoned children, single mothers, mentally ill, prisoners.....
Presently the Association, with his 220 staff, provide services for about one thousand clients. It has facilities in the regions of Sicily and Piemonte, and the city of Rome in Italy, and Porto Velho, Brazil..
It offers training to professional service personell for the countries of East Central Europe through a United Nations supported project.
The Association has as prime objective the rehabilitation and re-entry into society , for people in difficulty .
